Lambris Complement Training Award

It is our pleasure to announce that the International Complement Society will present the Lambris Complement Training Award, sponsored by the Lambris Family.  The award will be presented by the President of ICS at the biennial Complement Workshop.  


Purpose:  The Lambris Complement Training Award intends to recognize and foster an individual who shows outstanding promise to be one of tomorrow's leading biomedical research investigators studying complement. 

Eligibility criteria: In order to meet the criteria for the Lambris Complement Training Award, appropriate research by the candidate may be based on laboratory investigations, clinical or epidemiological studies, experimental animal studies, or a combination thereof, in the field of complement for which an abstract has been submitted to the biennial ICW Workshop.  Preference is given to nominees at a trainee or mentored position.  Nominations may be suggested and submitted by any member of the ICS; self-applications are not accepted.

What you need for the nomination: The following documentation has to be submitted electronically using the nomination form (or scan QR code on this page).

  • Must be registered for the ICW Workshop and submit an abstract
  • Letter of Recommendation
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Extended abstract describing the nominee's work not to exceed 750 words.

The nomination deadline is JUNE 1

The ICS board will select the awardee, who will be notified of the decision mid June


During the Complement Workshop, the Lambris Complement Training Award will be awarded a Certificate of Award and a honorarium of $2,500.


The awardee will be published the ICS newsletter and on the ICS website.
